L-Arginine, L-Citrulline and Niacin: The Blood-Flow Stack in EreVanton
Updated November 5, 2026 · 5 min read
Three of EreVanton’s eleven ingredients have one job: help the blood vessels open. They are niacin, L-arginine and L-citrulline, and they all work through the same small molecule, nitric oxide.

Nitric oxide, in one paragraph
Nitric oxide is the signal that tells the muscle in an artery wall to relax. When it is released, the vessel widens and more blood passes. An erection begins with exactly that signal in the arteries of the penis. The body makes nitric oxide from an amino acid, L-arginine, and makes less of it as the years go by.
The three ingredients
| Ingredient | What it is | Its role in the stack |
|---|---|---|
| L-arginine | An amino acid | The direct building block of nitric oxide |
| L-citrulline | An amino acid | Converted by the body into L-arginine, for a steadier supply |
| Niacin | Vitamin B3 | Supports the widening of blood vessels |
Why arginine and citrulline are paired
L-arginine taken by mouth is partly broken down in the gut and liver before it reaches the blood. L-citrulline passes through, and the kidneys turn it into L-arginine afterwards. Put the two together and you get a quick supply and a slower, longer one. That is why the pair shows up in so many blood-flow formulas.
What the niacin flush is
Some people feel a brief warmth or redness in the face and chest after niacin. It is called the niacin flush. It is a well-known effect of the vitamin, it passes on its own, and it is a sign of surface blood vessels opening. If it bothers you, mention it to your doctor.
And the piperine?
Piperine is the compound that makes black pepper sharp. It is in the capsule for absorption: its job is to help your body take up more of the other ten ingredients.
Why the stack is not the whole formula
If opening the tap were enough, an amino acid powder would solve it. The presentation’s argument is that the arteries are narrowed by plaque and inflammation, and that the cause starts upstream. So the blood-flow stack is the fourth step of five:
- Source: baking soda and ginger.
- Plaque: purified red honey.
- Inflammation: pomegranate peel and a botanical blend.
- Blood flow: niacin, L-arginine and L-citrulline, with piperine.
- Drive: maca and tribulus.
Important if you take medication
Because these three act on blood vessels, they are the reason the label tells you to talk to a doctor first if you take nitrates, blood pressure medication or blood thinners. Read taking EreVanton with medication before you start, and see all eleven on the ingredients page.
